Most deaths were registered in São Paulo a/VEJA
With 218 records of new deaths as a result of Covid-19, Brazil presented, this Saturday, 1, the highest number of deaths in 24 hours since August 30 – when 229 deaths caused by the virus were declared. Much of this number, however, was recorded in São Paulo: there are 191 more deaths in the state, which accumulates 174,795 deaths throughout the pandemic, more than 25% of the total deaths in the national territory.
The moving average, which is at 67.4, is 1.87% lower than two weeks ago, which puts the pandemic on a level of stability. The assessment is carried out by infectious disease specialists, who set a variation of 15% as the inflection point to change the trend towards an upward or downward trend.
The moving average of Covid-19 cases continues to fall. In 6,788 cases, with an index of -15% variation compared to the numbers recorded two weeks ago.
The calculation of the moving average made by VEJA consists of adding all the records of the last seven days and dividing the total by seven. Thus, it is possible to have a broad view of the current moment of the pandemic (check the graphs at the end of the article).
In the last 24 hours, Brazil recorded 5,986 new positive diagnoses and 218 new deaths from Covid-19. Throughout the pandemic, there are 34,678,510 infected with the virus and 686,254 fatalities throughout the national territory.
