The head of the humanitarian headquarters of the Kyiv region Oleksiy Kuleba assures that soon the fuel shortage will be covered.
Kuleba said this in a video message posted on his Telegram channel.
Speaking about the problem with fuel, he urged people to treat this with understanding.
“The occupiers are destroying our infrastructure, and this causes difficulties in the supply of goods. Of course, this also applies to fuel. During the war, such things are provided for, and the authorities are doing everything to quickly improve this situation. We also understand that fuel will rise in price … The only supplier of fuel will be the European Union, and, accordingly, the price of fuel will be on par with neighboring countries,” Kuleba said.
According to him, now the priority is to provide fuel for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, doctors, rescuers and volunteers, and then critical sectors of the economy.
“The supply of fuel will improve in the near future, in the coming days. I ask all residents of the region: please remain calm. The authorities are working to resolve this issue and soon the fuel shortage will be covered,” the head of the humanitarian headquarters of the Kyiv region assured.
As UNIAN reported earlier, in Ukraine in the last week of April there was a shortage of fuel at filling stations. In order to solve the issue of its deficit on April 29, the government raised the marginal prices for gasoline and diesel fuel by 40-43%.
Vladimir Omelchenko, director of energy programs at the Razumkov Center, believes that there will be a shortage of oil products as long as the war and strict price regulation continue.
