Queen of Romanticism in Argentina, with more than 3.5 million copies sold, and considered one of the greatest authors of romantic literature today, Florencia Bonelli launches in Brazil the book The spell of water, which hits stores by Grupo Planeta.
Accustomed to plots that reflect on love and war against a historical, political and social background, this time the writer’s fans are faced with a contemporary novel whose backbone is astrology. They are the stars that help the reader to understand the characters and anticipate situations they experience.
The Water Spell is about the journey of Brenda, a successful but unhappy economics student. The protagonist leaves in search of her first love, Diego, and, in the meantime, she begins an internal transformation to discover her true self. Amidst the chaos, the couple faces personal and family dilemmas, but in the end, the outcome of this union is the encounter with happiness.
Florencia put aside a successful career in accounting and, in the late 1990s, began to dedicate herself exclusively to writing. Born in Cordoba, she currently lives in Switzerland and has books translated into several languages. In Brazil, the author debuted in 2018 with the work What Say Your Eyes, also by Planeta.
