In Kherson, occupied by Russian troops, Ukrainian mobile communications are fully operational.
This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Digital Development Mikhail Fedorov.
“The technical team went out several times to repair broken optical cables, but returned due to enemy shelling. This morning they managed to restore the damaged optical network and launched the mobile networks of all three operators that operate in the Kherson region,” Fedorov said.
As a result of hostilities, a working optical cable was cut off, which went from the neighboring city to Kherson and made it possible for base stations to work.
“The technical teams of lifecell and Kyivstar tested the network and found the place of the break. lifecell coordinated the restoration work. With the assistance of the National Center for Operational and Technical Management of Telecommunications Networks under the State Special Communications Service, the coordination of the actions of operators, the military regional administration and the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was ensured, and it was possible to provide a local technical team the opportunity to carry out repairs,” Fedorov said.
Recall, experts suggest that the disconnection of communications in the recently occupied territories may be due, in particular, to the intentions of the Rashists to hold a pseudo-referendum for the creation of KhNR.
