Ponte Nova miner, the musician John Bosco won in 2021 a memorable tribute from the Ouro Preto Orchestra, with the show Genesis, in which Bosco plays his main hits alongside the orchestra. The concert, recorded live, became CD and DVD. This Saturday, 7th, Bosco joins the orchestra once again for a performance at Sesc Palladium, in Belo Horizonte, and will do another one on Sunday, 8th, at Praça de Eventos, in Ouro Branco, to mark the release of the work.
The repertoire includes classics such as songs composed by Bosco in partnership with Aldir Blanc, such as O Bêbado e a Equilibrista, Corsário e Bala com Bala and De Frente Pro Crime. The show will also feature the musicians who accompany the musician, Kiko Freitas (drums) and Guto Wirti (bass).
The orchestra, with arrangements by Nelson Ayres, combines elements of classical music with Bosco’s versatility, adding even more emotion to the guitarist’s songs. “João Bosco is a one-man orchestra. As a guitarist, he makes melodies float with amazing dexterity, producing highs and lows in notes that multiply, in a very particular rhythm. In other words, João Bosco’s art is perfect”, said conductor Rodrigo Toffolo.
