The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Israel and Germany are asking citizens to leave Pridnestrovie.
“In light of the deteriorating security situation in the Transnistrian region, and given that the ability of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide assistance to Israeli citizens who live there is limited, Israeli citizens are urged to leave Transnistria as soon as possible,” – informed Israeli non-resident ambassador to Moldova Yoel Lion.
Yoel also noted that the Foreign Ministry calls on Israeli citizens who plan to arrive in Pridnestrovie in the near future to cancel their trip for this time.
The German Foreign Ministry has also updated recommendations for travelers.
“The security situation in Pridnestrovie has worsened. Against this background, trips to Pridnestrovie are categorically not welcome,” the ministry’s website said in a statement.
German citizens are urged to check whether their stay in the “MRT” is mandatory and to follow the instructions of local authorities and security forces.
“Please note that the German Embassy in Chisinau cannot provide consular assistance to Pridnestrovie,” the Foreign Ministry warned.
Recall that on April 25 and 26 there were explosions in the building of the “Ministry of State Security” of the so-called “Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” in Tiraspol, in a military unit. The tower of the Mayak radio and television center was also blown up.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense called these explosions a provocation organized by the special services of the Russian Federation. Also, Ukrainian intelligence reported that Russian troops intend to launch a missile attack on Transnistria.
Earlier, the Russian Federation stated that during the second stage of the “special operation” in Ukraine, the Russian army plans to establish full control over the Donbass, which will allow the creation of a land corridor to Crimea and control over southern Ukraine and will provide the RF Armed Forces with “one more exit to Transnistria, where facts are observed oppression of the Russian-speaking population”.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian troops stationed on the territory of the Transnistrian region of Moldova are on full combat readiness.
